ABOUT JOE
BARTHLOW
Joe Barthlow graduated from the Univ. of Oregon in
1993. His design experience began by designing fraternity rush
brochures
in the university Mac lab.
After moving to Salem, Oregon with his wife, Tina, Joe helped
several legislators with their communication needs at the
Capitol. Projects included designing and producing web sites,
publishing newsletters, speech writing, and constituent service.
At the same time, he continued to develop his skills by
designing ads at a newspaper and helping with layout at a
local real estate magazine.
While managing several direct mail campaigns for House and
Senate members, Joe joined MBM Strategies, a Salem based public
relations firm, in 1994. As the graphic designer, Joe designed
direct mail pieces and print ads for local and statewide
campaigns.
In 1997, Joe joined ORD Products Inc. as a graphic designer
on their marketing team, which managed several national brands.
At ORD, Joe designed catalogs, brochures, packaging, POP,
identity, direct mail,
and print advertising. He also designed and developed the
company's web presence.
To strengthen his overall knowledge of print and web design,
Joe went back to the U of O for
a design degree in 1998. At the same time,
he enjoyed successful freelance design, building solid
relationships
with printers, photographers, mail
houses, and packaging companies.
Joe then enjoyed a successful stay at Poppie Advertising
Design in Eugene, Oregon, as a senior designer (2000-2008), a design firm
with clients ranging from academic institutions to large retailers to software
companies to furniture makers.
Today, Joe provides
graphic
design solutions
for a handful of clients.
He brings design firm experience and professionalism to a personal
level to help you achieve your marketing and communication
goals. If you have a design
